Sentosa Suntan 270908

Its saturday and we decided to go sentosa for tanning. Me n panda likes tanning, haa.. always complaning say we're too white, esp comparing to when we're in usa. So not tan. Think this is our 1st tanning session since we got tog. Thought its v short, but i think its a fun 1. Rene angeline, gr and steven were there also, and after that, we went to this ramen stall @ central mall, the char Siew and egg there is DELICIOUS!

Hello Kitty Lantern Festival 260908

Cleared halfday of my leave. Realise its so wonderful when not working for half a day.. lol .. can do so many things. Had lunch with eve at BK then proceed home to nua awhile when dear came to pick me up. We went amk hub to watch movie, Flower4. The japan version of F4 movie. Wanted to watch it as I had followed the 2 season of drama. Its better to have a proper ending.. haha.. well, find it not bad. Though i think dear wil be quite sian .. haha .. seeing 4 shuai ge n some unfamiliar story. :p After movie, made our way to Chn garden.. its the last wk of the Hello Kitty Lantern Festival there. Think its really quite worth going, the lightings were really nice! I esp love those on water de, with the reflections, the scenary is so nice!! =) Again with our tripod, we snapped a lot of photos.. hahaha.. Fireworks were released also. Was not bad. After chn garden, we decided to have dinner at city harvest there as we missed the food there! used to go there for popiah, satay etc after our tennis game. =)

NYPGC Steamboat dinner

Its been dunno since when we last had a gathering. Gathered with my Nanyang Poly guitar club friends for a steamboat dinner at Novena Zhen Fa Steamboat. Must thanks Jiayan for organizing it. =) And have to thank them for the singing of birthday song and thanks jiayan for the cake and gift =) though u're one of the b'dae gal too .. hehe..

Stewhaus Dinner 190908

Decided to have a 2-in-1 dinner. Cos since frances and grace had treated me after they got their 1st pay, its finally my turn to treat. And oso its my b'dae.. haha.. We finally decided on Stewhaus along East Coast Road. They're famous for the mushroom soup and pork knuckles. Well, I find them quite gd, but a bit overrated.. and price is bit steep. Besides that .. everything is great. We decided on Ice-Cream Chef for desserts. We've tried to visit once last time but couldnt spot it along the road. This time round confirming the shop name, we made our way there walking.. at the same time digesting our food. The ice-cream is nice but i find it quite diff fr the USA Cold Stone. But for SG standard.. its yummy.. they even got this kaya flavor .. which taste exactly like putting frozen kaya into mouth..haha .. quite special thou. Thanx Frances for the nice shots.. realise we din take a proper group photo here.. all thanx to the sudden 'guest' appearance of a flying xiao qiang.-_- lol..

All thanks to my dearie panda, that I have a wonderful 24hrs birthday celebration. It all started from the night where clock had strike past 12am. We cut the cake not at 12 sharp, but thats cos i came out of the bathroom late.. haa.. not becos i'm slow k, becos we reach home late from dinner with frances and grace (stay tune for the next post;p). Dad had fell asleep le .. so only took photo with my dear mum. And of cos, with panda .. =) After this, its bedtime.. yeah .. haha .. its gonna be a long day next morning.. so a gd rest is impt! haha.. Everything just went on so smoothly on this day.

As planned, we went to the Dim Sum restaurant at Thomson Plaza. As we were quite late, we were initially disappointed by the staff who 1st told us not much dim sum left, so recommended us to order set lunch instead. We were quite sianz as our main aim is dim sum! Luckily, those dishes that we want, were still available. Left camera on the car, so no photos of dim sum. But anyway, we ate til super full, hargao ~ siew mai ~ fried prawn dumpling ~ char siew bun ~ chee cheong fun ~ chicken feet and some others i forgot the term liao.

After lunch is Singapore Flyer. It always never occur in my mind that SG Flyer is wonderful. And always ppl who had boarded it, said bout the same thing. "like that lor, nothing much", "so expensive!!", "so many unsightly cranes". But well, since we never try b4, its gd to give it a try, and this decision end up to be a wonderful trip! How wonderful?? haha .. well, its a super long story, hard to explain here la .. haha .. the main pt is, we had the whole capsule to ourselves!!! Was quite shy initially as I can see the SG flyer staffs and the crowds at the queue smiling or laughing or staring at us .. but after a while, who cares.. haha .. both of us just indulge ourselves in photo-taking sessions. =p Great that we have tripod with us. After the happening 1/2 hr ride, we decided to try out the Fish Spa at the Kenko shop at Flyer there. Its my virgin experience .. and its hard to describe. Can't stop laughing initially when i dip my legs into the tank. So itchy!! lol.. but after a while, its quite shiok esp when we had the 10mins neck and shoulder massage at the same time. Final event of the day is dinner at Sweet Indulgence. Can't rem how we got to know this place, but we did mention b4 saying wanna try the tiramisu there together. Dear made a reservation asking for a corner seat. The food is really nice, tiramisu is wonderful, and the staffs are all v friendly. Thanx panda for such wonderful day!! Forever memorable .. and oso thanx so much for driving me to NTU for BBQ, and waiting there for me. My panda is forever cute and forever the best.. dun start flying hor .. haha .. ahjishi panda!! :p

Convo Outdoor Photo Taking

Had 2 sessions of outdoor photo shoot, which ended me at a super seh stage. Imagine wearing the gown, walking around with heels (wearing it to jump also -_-), walking ard the whole esplanade, towards merlion, then towards padang and supreme court ... not once but twice!! on the same day, since 9am (we woke up super early at chalet) .. til ard 6pm.. I'm amazed by myself .. hahaha .. by the end of the whole day, i was super seh .. n my poor legs.. lol.. Session 1 photos with PE3 Session 2 with frances, grace and molly.

Convocation 2008

25th July 2008. Finally the day .. after 4 yrs of fun, hardship etc .. the day that I wear the grad gown and cap. .The ceremony is at 10am. Me and parents reached at around 9.30am, found a place to settle down and get myself dressed. Lucky I decided to makeup on the car while dad drive, else I wont hav enough time b4 the ceremony.. as every1 is taking photos here n there, and ordering of stage photos too. When i stepped into audi, i was like wah .. so many ppl! Manage to spot dear once i reach basement. And we took some shots together=) Like all people said, the ceremony took like almost 2hrs, and our parents just get to see us on stage for tat few seconds..haha .. but well, its once in a lifetime. After ceremony was buffet lunch and lotsa photo taking sessions. And thanks dad n mum for the grad bear=). This is Mr Khoo, my poly class mentor. He graduated with a master degree on tat day oso. After lunch, my parents went off first as they gotta work, met up wif all my PE3 gangs and we had photo-taking sessions around the school, and by ard 4pm, we were all so seh, legs pain fr shoe, face so oily and so warm with the thich gown on. Took train back home with dear and we had MOS for dinner before going home to bath, pick eve up fr busstop then i send dear back home and off me n eve went to pasir ris downtown chalet. Its been so long since i went and stay over night for a chalet.

Some thoughts ... ...

Within weeks, so many things had happen. Was quite overwhelmed by so many things that initially i thought i'll just break down. But i did manage to pull through.

1st week of work, though familiar environment, familiar faces, but I still need some time to get use to the culture i tink... so diff being a student there and as a perm staff. Everything drop like bombs.. but well, hope i manage to gain good experiences and my days working there are gonna be smooth.

4th july nite, or can say 5th morning, Curly left us. Til now every thought of her made me want to drop tears. Everyday i reach home, seems like i still can smell her doggie scent, and everyday when i wanna leave house, I still have the habit of wanting to close my room door(my mum dun allow curly up our beds, so all room doors are to be close when we going out). Even though there is no longer sights of her pillow, biscuit box, bowl, towel etc .. she is stil always in my mind. My dear darling for 11+ years...

People tell me that if they were in my shoe, they'll be super angry .. well, i aint really angry, jus feel real sad. Jus feel like a sudden lost, someting that i've been thinking tat is special, suddenly turn out to be not so special actually.. Always wondering whether I'm asking for too much, but i jus cant help tinking tat trust is very impt in a relationship. Not sure what impact this issue had on my jiemei or my dear, but really big on me, esp when so many bad tings had been happening ard me recently.. tats y i said i tot i would jus break down. But i manage to control myself. Frances said she saw the change in me. Is it good or bad i not sure. But i really do treasure this relationship a lot, esp after what happened 1yr ago, this is something i tink really need to be treasured. Thinking back, I did realise a major change in myself, being the only child, always a independant gal, i've grown to become dependant on my dear, which i really fear that if this pillar disappear, will i be able to stand back on my own again? So i treasured even more. But anyway, everything seems to be going on smoothly now, and hope it'll continue to be. Hope the 'trust' will be back soon. and this incident wil disappear from our mind soon.

The earth is still turning, life still got to be going on, memories that'll remain in heart forever .. and some that'll be disppearing when time goes on. So every1, treasure everything, and live life to the fullest! Tomorrow will be a better day.

Graduation Taiwan Trip 13th~20th May 2008

Signed up for this trip at NATAS with my cousin yuzhen. Really been thru a lot of obstacles before we finally manage to persuade our parents to go for this trip. Joined Chan Bro tour group, 8 Days 7 Nights around whole Taiwan. Our taiwan local tour guide was Henny, quite a responsible lady .. and she quite funny oso . as me and yuzhen dun hav christian names, she ended up calling us Susan and Mary .. and she really address us tat for all 8 days. -_-
Took China Airline and by the time we touch down, its bout 7pm liao.. headed straight to the farm that we'll be staying over for the night. Had dinner which include a cup of 珍珠奶茶. Played fireworks after dinner, something that we cant play in Singapore. Tried lighting the rocket 1, light and run .. haha .. scary but fun. =) The room was sooooo nice lor, so huge, 2 queen size beds but the beds a bit too hard, everyting else was perfect. They even got free wireless .. haha .. great that I brought my laptop along .. I can chat wif dear, and yuzhen can chat wif kevin. After the farm tour, we went back to pack our lugguage and leave for Alishan. Its a super super long bus journey .. Henny warn us to take motion sickness pill. Almost a 3hrs moutain road up, and its quite cold up there, ard 13deg only. Thats consider quite cooling for summer period. After Alishan, we had another long bus jouney down the moutain to middle taiwan, Sun Moon Lake. Its a very nice and famous place, and the hotel was great too. Nice interior and also nice scenary especially in the morning, breakfast by the lake. After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and head towards the Aboriginals Village, 九族文化村. Nothing special there, but we watched a traditional village show, took the cable car. Saw my favourite Lavendar again at this very big nice garden, where there're a few v nice plant sculptures. After Aboriginal Center, we proceeded to lunch and then to train station where we'll take the bullet train from Taoyuan to Taipei. As we reached the station early, we had some free time to grab some drinks. As I was having headache, I went to starbucks to grab a Ice Tall Caramel Macchiato. Its a good shot, nice drink! =) And we also went to 7-11 to get a bottle of yoghurt drink. It taste like out yakult + green tea powder, and have some aloe vera meat added.Upon arrival at Taipei, we had a brief city tour on the coach before alighting at Taipei 101. Me and yuzhen briefly shop around and take some photos before crossing the road over to New York New York, saw the area where a lot of 偶像剧scene had appear. Bought some donuts from Mister Donut and we spent quite a lot of time on the street pavement, trying to capture a nice shot of the full 101. Finally after 101, we proceed to to famous Shilin Night Market. Recommended by our guide, we tried 大肠包小肠(grilled glutinous rice with taiwan sausage and some veges), 蚝仔煎(quite different from ours, but its very nice, got a sauce on top and veges below), 豪大大鸡排(real huge chicken cullet, queue a long queue at stall), 臭豆腐(i finally tried it, plucked up the courage, lucky it was not that bad as the minimum order is 3 huge toufu, imagine its bad .. how to finish), Honey white bittergord juice(according to guide, only available in taiwan, refreshing and not bitter, nice!), and a uncle from our tour group treat every1 to a 大饼包小饼(popiah skin wrap tausah piah, nice and also only available in taiwan). Thats our dinner for the day, yummy and full! Fishermen Wharf was quite ok only .. i think i'll still prefer the 1 at San Frans .. ahh .. how i miss USA!! ok back to topic, we went yang ming shan also .. which there is basically almost nothing to see cos its not the flower blooming season ... -_- Jiufen was quite a nice street, but tink we reached there too late, lots of shops are almost closing, the road up the hill was quite dangerous, very narrow, 1 way up n 1 way down. And Henny was telling us a lot of accident happened there, but well, its a tourist attraction. And a shop sell very nice konnyaku jelly and black peanuts. Jiufen is also famous yam ball tau huay. Night event was Ximenting shopping after going to a shop to buy Pineapple tarts. I didnt buy any, bought the honey cake instead. Its super nice lor!! shld hav buy more back. Head first to the Ah Zong Mee Sua .. the queue is like forever there de .. and there is not tables and chairs provided lor .. so many ppl were crowding along the street, holding a bowl of mee sua and standing there to eat. Me and yuzhen didnt join the tour group back to hotel .. so that we can have more time to shop around. I manage to buy 2 tops and 1 leggings at quite cheap price. We also went to eat the 3 brothers dessert where we ate the milk shave ice with mango and pearls .. yummy!!! Went to Grand hotel, a 6* hotel, not to stay but tour only .. haha .. but its finishing interiorly and exteriorly are super nice lah .. if u're feeling rich .. haha .. can go there stay. From there can also see Fishermen Wharf. Drop by 宗列祠where jus nice we met the shift changing performance. And the guard standing at the entrance .. totally cannot move even under hot sun .. we can take photo with them, but cannot touch them. Went to this restaurant for lunch .. very interesting place, 五角船板. The exterior of the restaurant is in a boat shape, n the interior is very artistic. Even the toilet sign oso very different. And here, i tasted the best mochi that i've ever tasted. Super fresh and yummy!!! *drool* ... On the way to HuaLien, we stop by this culture village where we had some free time looking at some exhibits. I spent some $$ there. Bought some souvenirs, a taiwan starbucks bear.. and also hp accessory for me n dear. Tried this traditional ice with yam, peanut flavour. After this stop, we had a long long long and dangerous moutain route before reaching our hotel. As its too dark at night, only til morning when we walk around then we realise the nice weather and scenary at the area. Our hotel is just along the coast, facing Pacific Ocean. Its another 'adventurous' bus ride. Going up to Taroko. Nice nice scenary, but seems dangerous also. Narrow moutain road. And til a point where coaches cannot enter, we had to alight and walk. Scenary was great, but we dare not stay at a pt for too long..lol.. cos there's a lot of cases of rocks falling fr above.. so there're signs around warning tourist not to stay at a pt too long. But i tink this is stil worth it, nice scenary, and cooling highland air=) After Taroko, we head to have lunch, where we tried the traditional bamboo rice (竹筒饭). Nothing very special in test, just a bit of dried prawns inside. But the experience was indeed interesting. Haa .. cos in order to eat the rice, we must 1st break open the bamboo. The restaurant provide a brick there, and we had to hit super super hard to crack the bamboo. And after lunch, we took train to TaiTung, the long waited Hot Spring resort!!! The train ride was quite long, bout 2hrs. Bout the green tea yakult drink to slowly enjoy during ride. Some of the train stations there are really interesting, only a small platform in the middle of no where. Include the station that we alighted, small small station. We even had to walk past the tracks to exit the station where only a man standing there sort of guarding the place. Me and Yuzhen were quite overwhelmed by the resort. So NICE!!! Really love the place. We quickly settle down, and change to our swim suit and with the bathing gown on, we start to explore around. There is a outdoor spring, which can wear swim suit, another which must be totally naked. Haha .. me n yuzhen too shy, so we chose to go to the swim wear 1. There is this process that we have to follow for soaking, warm 1 1st(initially the warm 1 is already too hot lor, cant imagine the real hot 1), then the real hot 1, then the cold 1. So we rotated ourselves around for like 2 rounds before we head back to soak in our room while watching 命中注定我爱你.:p Another night market that we went, LiuHo night market at KaoShuing. Tried lotsa nice food. And for this market, they're famous for papaya milk, Fried squid and mushroom, Dan Dan noodle and braise pig intestine, Shi Quan ribs soup.
